INFORMATION

KITTEN RESERVATION

Please tell us about yourself, your family and your current pets.  It's important for us to know that our babies will be going to loving homes.  Also please let us know if you have a color, pattern and gender preference or have questions to make that decision. You can do this by clicking on the application button at the top right of this page or by clicking here.

We are experienced breeders of Ragdolls and I personally have been improving the breed for over 20 years.  We have a limited number of babies available each year and our busiest time is late winter and early spring.  We plan around our vacation time so we usually do not have babies born during the summer months if at all possible. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of our babies or a retired adult, please complete the kitty application. Once approved and we have a kitten to offer to you,  a deposit will be accepted to reserve the chosen kitten at that time. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and are deducted from the balance due the day they go home. Assessment period is usually 9 to 10 weeks for kittens that appear to be show quality.  Pet kittens may be offered to reserve as quality is determined before 9 weeks of age.  Please watch our Nursery page as it is kept current.  Kittens leave us at 12-13 weeks of age.

GO HOME DAY

When will my kitten be ready to go home?

Kittens leave us at approximately 12-13 weeks of age.  The time they leave usually always depends on how they are recovering after alter surgery.  Since spays and neuters are done prior to kittens leaving, it could possibly affect the time they were scheduled to go home.  This is not common but should be considered.

What day is best and are you able to meet us part way?

Scheduled go home day is usually made on the weekend, but we are flexible whenever possible.  We can and have met families within one hour from our home at no additional cost.  We have also traveled and met halfway on a Saturday for a small fee.  If we are traveling and going in your direction anyway for a show or meeting a family, there will be no delivery charge for anyone.  Just ask us about our current travel schedule.  We would like to make the transition for the family and the kitten as simple and stress free as possible.

What if I have vacation scheduled the week our kitten will be ready to go home?

If you have vacation plans, please be sure to time it when the kitten has been home for a couple months if at all possible.  It's better to bring the kitten home when you can devote time to him or her to get them accustomed to their new environment before long trips. Otherwise waiting for another kitten is highly advisable when the timing is more suitable.  Please ask us if you need us to keep the baby a week or two longer due to vacation before making the reservation so that we can plan better.

What should I bring on go home day?

Lastly, please don't forget to bring a carrier and the balance in cash on go home day unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in advance. We do not accept any other form of payment on day of go home.  If you would rather pay via check or money order, payment must be received by the time your kitten is 10 weeks old.

Pet Quality: A kitten application is required as a first step of our adoption process. The application button can be found at the top of this page or by clicking here.  Price varies plus sales tax.  Kittens are priced individually. The price does include the cost of spay or neuter surgery done by my vet before they leave for their new homes. Pet quality means that they may have a mismark or other flaw that would penalize or disqualify them in the show ring. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve an available pet quality kitten.

Show Quality Alter:  A kitten application is required as a first step of our adoption process. The Application button can be found at the top of this page or by clicking here. Priced depending on quality plus sales tax.  The price does include the cost of spay or neuter done by my vet before they leave our home.  Show quality means that they will also have show rights and be as close to the Ragdoll Standard as possible with near or perfect markings and no disqualifying faults.  A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve an available show quality alter kitten.

If you decide on a show alter and need assistance, I do encourage showing.  I have found showing to be fun, exciting and rewarding.  It is a quick way to make new friends in the cat fancy that have similar interests.  If this interests you, visit TICA and CFA for cat show information.

Show/Breeder:  An application is required.  Please contact us for the form.  Must early spay/neuter and only breed traditional blue eyed ragdolls. We place very few kittens with breeding rights.  Kittens are priced based on quality and only offered to approved small ethical catteries in good standing. Must be registered in TICA, CFA or other well known international cat associations.   A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a chosen show/breeder kitten.

Retired Adults:  An application is required as a first step of our adoption process. The Application button can be found at the top of this page or by clicking here. Priced based on quality and age plus sales tax.  They will be up to date on shots and spayed or neutered before leaving us.  A non-refundable deposit will be accepted to hold an adult until he/she is altered and ready to go home.  Once adults are altered for their new home, deposits are not transferable to another adult or kitten.

Transportation:  It is required that you drive or fly to bring your kitten home.  We do not use transporters for pet quality and show alter quality kittens or adults.  We can meet within reason. Only under special circumstances, we may deliver the kitten directly to your home.  We use a transporter for kittens with breeding rights if you are unable to fly here. Our airport code is CVG.  We will not ship cargo. All transportation expenses are the responsibility of the new owner.

We reserve the right to refuse sale for any reason and at any time.

All kittens are altered prior to placement and a signed contract required to not declaw and keep indoors only.

Kittens are available until a deposit has been received and requested to hold that particular kitten.

RECOMMENDATIONS

We use pine pellet type litter for our babies. We may gradually change litters to Fresh Step scoop if we feel the kittens are mature enough. A large high-sided litter box and a low-sided one are suggested. And if you end up buying one with a top, take the top off for the first couple weeks. Having one litter box per kitty plus one is the rule. Our kittens are accustomed to jingle balls, teaser wands and scratch posts with sisal rope. When purchasing a carrier, purchase an intermediate size big enough for the kitten as an adult. Kittens love the large condos/climbers with many perches, but buy a 4 foot or smaller one and save the taller ones for when kittens are older. Other items to purchase are nail clippers, grooming comb or slicker brush and stainless steel or porcelain bowls. Never use plastic dishes as they have been known to cause chin acne. All these items can be found at any of the pet store chains.
